AI Application Developer Undergraduate

Pfizer Pfizer · Pharma · Walton Oaks, United Kingdom

Undergraduate AI Application Developer role focused on rapid prototyping and delivery of AI-powered internal applications and tools within Pfizer's OSS AI Studio. The role involves identifying opportunities for AI to improve efficiency, building prototypes using modern development tools and AI platforms, and collaborating on transitioning successful prototypes to production.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support the assessment of internal processes and workflows across OSS AI Studio and the wider CXI&AI organisation to identify where AI-enabled prototypes could reduce manual effort, remove dependency on external suppliers or improve efficiency.
  2. Contribute to building working prototypes of internal applications and tools using technologies such as React, NextJS, Python and Supabase, moving from concept to functional demo within days.
  3. Help deliver AI-enabled internal solutions including automations, workflows, dashboards and micro-applications, iterating quickly based on user feedback and validation.
  4. Explore and experiment with emerging AI capabilities, tools and methodologies, including AI platforms such as OpenAI and Anthropic, open-source models, and AI-powered development environments such as Cursor.
  5. Collaborate with developers, engineers, designers and product managers across OSS AI Studio and the wider engineering team to transition successful prototypes into production-grade, scalable solutions.
