AI Operations Engineer

Salesforce is seeking an AI Operations Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of AI-powered operational processes, tools, and platforms within their GPS Strategic Operations organization. This role focuses on integrating AI and automation into business-critical processes like bid management, knowledge management, and workflow automation, with a strong emphasis on architecting agent-to-agent automation patterns and driving adoption of AI solutions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Identify, evaluate, and implement AI-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency, productivity, and business outcomes.
  2. Design and optimize workflows that incorporate generative AI, machine learning, automation, and intelligent knowledge retrieval.
  3. Lead continuous improvement initiatives across operational functions, leveraging AI technologies to reduce manual effort and increase scalability.
  4. Architect agent-to-agent (A2A) automation patterns that connect GPS systems end-to-end with minimal human intervention.
  5. Develop AI-assisted workflows that streamline opportunity assessment, response generation, compliance validation, content retrieval, and submission processes.

Skills

Required

  • Experience supporting operational systems, business process improvement, workflow automation, or technology enablement initiatives.
  • Understanding of generative AI, large language models (LLMs), automation platforms, and AI-enabled business processes.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and collaborating with business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Salesforce platform (Utopia) administration and customization.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, compliance, and ethical AI principles.
  • Knowledge of prompt engineering and human-in-the-loop review processes.
