AI Sales Engineer

This role is for an AI Sales Engineer at Rubrik, focusing on their AI Agentic Cloud offerings. The primary responsibility is to provide technical leadership and direction to customers and prospects, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in agentic AI governance and security. The role involves leading technical sales calls, gathering customer feedback, qualifying sales opportunities, and collaborating with product management and sales teams to drive adoption of Rubrik's agentic AI solutions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provides technical leadership and direction to Rubrik, customers, and prospects in the development and positioning Rubrik's AI Agentic Cloud offerings.
  2. Serves as a trusted technology advisor to customers and serves as an agentic AI subject matter expert when positioning Rubrik's cloud capabilities to key accounts.
  3. Leads technical sales calls, gathers / analyzes customer feedback, and identifies trends.
  4. Qualifies sales opportunities in the terms of customer technical requirements, competition, decision making process and funding.
  5. Maintains a consistent cadence with product management to ensure product roadmap alignment with customer demands.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of sales engineering experience in an AI environment
  • fundamental breadth of technical knowledge in large language models, agentic AI, and agent builder technologies

Nice to have

  • experience with observability and/or governance technologies
