This role is for an AI Solutions Architect in a pre-sales capacity, focusing on strategic accounts. The primary responsibility is to demonstrate how Databricks' Data Intelligence Platform can solve complex customer data challenges, acting as a trusted advisor to executives and driving adoption of AI solutions. The role requires strong technical expertise in AI toolings and the broader data landscape, with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the technical strategy for key strategic accounts within the Benelux region - assessing a customer’s architecture and provide strategic guidance and deep technical expertise addressing problems that span multiple systems, teams, and stakeholders, from data & AI practitioners, business domains and all the way up to C-level.
  2. Act as a trusted advisor to VP & BU-1 leaders, driving alignment through negotiations and ensuring long-term technical commitment.
  3. Abstract learnings from your builds into reusable patterns and guidance for the wider Databricks community, anticipating objections before they surface.
  4. Move beyond "proof of concept" to deliver outcomes the business can measure, using adoption signals to ensure sustained customer impact.
  5. Coach junior team members on technical discovery and complex use-case prioritisation, helping the team maintain high standards at sustained velocity.

Skills

Required

  • Customer interactions in a technical pre-sales capacity
  • Managing complex sales lifecycles
  • Use case discovery, scoping, and delivering complex solution architecture designs
  • Technical spike in AI toolings & solutions
  • Broad expertise across the data landscape—including Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and GenAI
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Databricks, AWS, Microsoft, GCP, or other relevant platforms)
  • Coding in a core programming language (i.e., Python, SQL etc.)
  • Ability to execute through ambiguity
  • Identifying emerging risks early and mobilising others to act
  • Leading technical discussions
  • Solving high-complexity, multi-account architectural challenges
  • Excellent communication skills in English
