AI Solutions Engineer (local to Boston/sf Only)

Snyk Snyk · Enterprise · San Francisco Local, United States, United States

AI Solutions Engineer focused on building and implementing AI-native automated workflows and technical foundations within Snyk's AI Security Business Unit. Responsibilities include workflow engineering with LLM orchestration, data scaffolding for AI consumption (RAG, vector stores), rapid prototyping of internal tools, translating business objectives into technical requirements, and designing human-in-the-loop systems for AI adoption.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and deploy automated AI workflows. You will build the "connective tissue" between our tools (Jira, Slack, Salesforce, internal APIs) using LLM orchestration, Python scripts, and modern automation frameworks.
  2. Work closely with data and engineering teams to ensure our internal operational data is structured for AI consumption (e.g., preparing datasets for RAG pipelines or maintaining vector stores for internal documentation).
  3. Act as the primary builder for the Business Architecture and Acceleration team, creating functional Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for internal tools that solve specific operational bottlenecks.
  4. Develop a deep understanding of the AI Security BU’s strategic goals. You will translate these business objectives into technical requirements, ensuring every automation you build directly contributes to our acceleration.
  5. Implement "Best Human Practices" for AI adoption. You will help define the interfaces where humans provide ground truth, feedback, and oversight to AI agents.

Skills

Required

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a highly technical quantitative field.
  • ~3 years of professional experience in technical operations, software development, or systems integration.
  • Demonstrated experience building with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic)
  • building skills and workflows with Claude Code / Claude Cowork or experimentation with orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex).
  • Strong understanding of data structures, API architecture, and the flow of information within a SaaS enterprise.
  • Comfortable writing Python and working with automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Make, or custom scripts).
  • Ability to understand "why" we are building something.
