AI Success Engineer for Healthcare & Life Sciences at OpenAI, focused on post-sales customer engagement, technical integration, adoption, and value realization of AI products. This role requires deep technical understanding of OpenAI's platform, including APIs, agentic capabilities, and common integration patterns, as well as practical experience deploying technology in regulated enterprise environments within the healthcare sector.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the technical relationship for post-sale customers and act as their trusted advisor on deployment, adoption, and value realization
  2. Own account health, adoption velocity, and ongoing technical deployment and success across your portfolio
  3. Be an expert in all of OpenAI products across our API and agentic platform, Codex, ChatGPT Enterprise, and more and conduct technical enablement and configuration sessions across them
  4. Identify and validate use cases by embedding with customer teams to understand workflows and pain points
  5. Lead account level coordination across multiple workstreams, including new product activation, change management, and customer rollout and deployment planning

Skills

Required

  • Technical customer facing roles (TAM, consulting, SA, delivery)
  • Healthcare/Life Sciences industry experience
  • Understanding of healthcare workflows, data, and regulatory environments
  • Deep knowledge of OpenAI products, APIs, SDKs, integration patterns
  • Experience deploying technology in regulated enterprise environments
  • Knowledge of HIPAA/HITECH, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11
  • Python or JavaScript
  • REST APIs, SDKs, automation, CI/CD, containers, cloud platforms
  • Translate technical concepts to business language
  • Embed with customers to map workflows
  • Project and program management

Nice to have

  • Scientific or clinical training (medicine, biology, chemistry, etc.)
  • Passion for applying AI responsibly

  • 5+ years of experience in technical customer facing roles
  • Meaningful experience working with healthcare or life-sciences organizations
  • Practical experience deploying technology in regulated enterprise environments
  • Working knowledge of healthcare and life-sciences requirements - including HIPAA/HITECH and BAAs, global health-data privacy, and, where relevant, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, clinical research, pharmacovigilance, or medical-device regulation
