About the Role
We're looking for a Biology Specialist AI Tutor to join our team as a subject matter expert, working at the intersection of frontier AI and life sciences. You'll play a critical role in crafting, evaluating, and stress-testing complex scientific prompts to help advance the capabilities of large language models.
What You'll Do
- Design and evaluate high-difficulty biology prompts that probe the limits of AI models
- Identify reasoning errors, weaknesses, and failure modes in model outputs
- Apply adversarial prompting techniques to surface gaps in model understanding
- Provide expert-level feedback on model responses across molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, and related subfields
- Collaborate with project leads to maintain high quality and consistency standards
What We're Looking For
- PhD in Biology or a closely related life sciences field
- Deep subject matter expertise — ability to work at PhD-level complexity across multiple relevant subdomains within Biology
- Prior experience with prompt engineering and stumping expert level models (max reasoning/tokens)
- Prior experience inducing/identifying reasoning related errors.
- Prior experience as an expert reviewer on AI data labeling projects
- Strong written communication and attention to detail
- Based out of the US, Canada, Mexico, UK, or Spain
Extra Credit
- Prior experience as a Senior Reviewer/Domain Lead on AI data labeling projects
- Teaching experience (professor, lecturer, or tutor in biology or related fields)
- Experience in technical writing, science communication, or professional scientific writing
- Multiple, high impact scientific publications in peer reviewed journals
Additional Information
- Location: Fully remote (no visa sponsorship available)
- Schedule: Flexible hours — contribute as much or as little as you’d like each week. (No minimum hours per week, capped at 40hrs/week.)
