This role focuses on the research and development of next-generation Power Delivery IPs for Intel's AI and Datacenter Products. The researcher will work on analog, mixed-signal, and digital circuit technologies to achieve industry-leading performance and efficiency in advanced process nodes. Responsibilities include developing innovative power delivery techniques, designing new IPs, conducting circuit analysis and simulation, and collaborating with engineering teams and external partners. The role requires a PhD in Electrical Engineering with specialization in power delivery and expertise in analog electronics and semiconductor device physics.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop, implement, and execute scientific research projects focused on advancing analog, mixed-signal, and digital circuit techniques to develop innovative power delivery IPs
  2. Design and enable new IPs and features to enhance Intel's product offerings.
  3. Conduct circuit analysis and simulation and engage in design verification, testing, and debugging of fabricated circuits.
  4. Research and propose innovative techniques to achieve superior form-factor, higher input voltage, higher efficiency, and ability to handle fast load transients.
  5. Partner with engineering design teams to define product requirements and assess the feasibility of adopting new technologies.

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with specialization in power delivery
  • Proficiency in power delivery circuits (Switched Capacitors, Inductor Buck, Linear, and Hybrid topologies)
  • Detailed design, analysis, and simulation tools
  • Strong expertise in analog electronics
  • Strong expertise in semiconductor device physics
  • Strong expertise in electrical fundamentals
  • Hands-on experience with circuit testing
