This role involves conducting mission system and air vehicle ground and flight tests to support system specification verification, production verification, and follow-on testing. Responsibilities include defining and executing flight profiles, coordinating with teams, acting as a liaison for engineering and data analysis, writing technical reports, and attending technical reviews. The role requires flight experience and familiarity with secure communications and mission/avionics systems, with a required Top Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Defines plans, organizes and executes complex flight profiles and flight test events.
  2. Conducts briefings, debriefings, coordinates with maintenance personnel, engineers, and test conductors to analyze and correct discrepancies.
  3. Act as engineering and data analysis liaison for the System.
  4. Write technical reports for ground and flight test events.
  5. Attend Air Vehicle and Mission System Technical Interchange Meetings, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, and Flight Readiness Reviews.

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) AND 6 years of related professional/military experience OR an Associate of Science degree AND 4 years of related professional/military experience OR a Bachelor of Science degree AND 2 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree AND 0 years of related professional/military experience
  • active U.S. Government Secret (or higher) clearance
  • ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance
  • ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
  • excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • oral and written communication skills
  • flight experience and familiarity with secure communications and mission/avionics systems
  • able to meet medical requirements for an FAA Class III physical

Nice to have

  • Previous E-6 Communications Systems Operator experience
  • Previous ACTC Level 400 or 500
  • Previous Aircraft Test experience
