Boeing is seeking Aircraft Assembly Mechanics for their 787 production system in North Charleston, SC. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, completing detailed work instructions, and assembling aircraft components and wiring. The position requires adherence to safety and quality standards, teamwork, and proficiency with various tools and computer applications. It is physically demanding and requires completion of foundational training and certifications. Export control compliance is also a requirement.

  • Ability to work variable shifts
  • Ability to walk constantly, stand 6-8 hours, climb stairs/ladders, bend/twist, squat/kneel
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 35 pounds, push/pull up to 45 pounds, reach overhead
  • Ability to work with high-hazard chemicals
  • Ability to complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications
  • 1+ year experience using software applications (internet, email, MS Office)
  • 1+ year experience following detailed work instructions, reading blueprints/drawings/specifications, and performing mathematical calculations in English
  • 1+ year experience in a manufacturing, technical, or mechanical field using basic hand, power, and/or pneumatic tools

  • 3+ years of related work experience or equivalent education/experience
