Inspects aircraft components, parts, and sub-assemblies for operation and conformance to government and/or company standards and specifications. This role involves monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Requires a Secret clearance and the ability to perform physical tasks in various environments.

What you'd actually do

  1. Inspects aircraft components, parts, and sub-assemblies for operation and conformance to government and/or company standards and specifications.
  2. Inspects the adjustments, repairs, or modifications made to aircraft components, sub-assemblies and final product.
  3. Will monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  4. May communicate directly with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work
  • Ability to record detailed information accurately and in a timely manner
  • Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work
  • Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment
  • Must be able to work around composites, epoxies, and sealants for long periods of time
  • Active Government Secret clearance
  • US citizenship required for clearance
  • Must pass visual exam
  • Experience in inspection processes
  • knowledge and use of inspection and testing instruments
  • Experience with common quality systems such as non-conformances, cause/corrective actions

Nice to have

  • Experience in a highly technical aerospace/manufacturing environment
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Familiarity with the quality process
  • Work experience in manufacturing of composite parts
  • Related industry experience in either manufacturing or inspection
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
