This role is for an Aircraft Inspector at Northrop Grumman, responsible for ensuring aircraft components and processes meet quality standards. It involves detailed inspections, documentation, and adherence to aerospace manufacturing and government specifications, requiring a Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Conduct part and process inspections, using various gauges and measurement tools, to meet Customer requirements
  2. Understand relevant specifications, tolerances, and process requirements and apply them to parts and processes
  3. Record and document results of measurements for traceability and document control
  4. Read and understand technical documents to include drawings, work instructions, and technical instructions
  5. Identify and document discrepant parts and measurements for evaluation by engineering personnel in appropriate MRB format

Skills

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience utilizing various measuring devices
  • Experience in Aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, and/or electronic assemblies
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • Ability to read and comprehend detail control plans, work instructions, drawings, Bill of Materials, Specifications, and related criteria
  • Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work
  • Must be able to work around composites, epoxies, and sealants
  • Must pass visual exam
  • The ability to pass New Hire Physical/Respiratory Exam
  • Must be willing to work any shift/schedule
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
