Aircraft Painter at Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Responsibilities include preparing aircraft surfaces, applying primers, paints, and finishes, and applying external markings. Requires 1+ years of painting experience, ability to work variable shifts, and physical capability for the tasks. This is an onsite position.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prepares exterior surface of aircraft for painting
  2. Makes necessary patterns, performs layout and applies prescribed primers, paints and finishes to exterior of aircraft
  3. Applies aircraft finishes and external markings to aircraft sections

Skills

Required

  • Availability to work variable shifts
  • 1+ years of painting experience in aircraft, automotive, industrial, or general painting
  • Required to wear fall protection gear, safety equipment and masks
  • Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel
  • Ability to carry/lift up to 10-35 pounds
  • Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals

Nice to have

  • 3+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ year aircraft painting experience or automotive
