Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for Aircraft Sheet metal Technician Level 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This role will be located on site in Melbourne, Florida.
This position is for 1st shift, Monday - Thursday 6am -4:30pm (4-10 schedule)
Essential Functions:
- Operate common computer operating systems IE Windows 11, Microsoft office.
- Able to learn and perform other job functions with OJT when required.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to think through problems.
- Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing facility.
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED and hobby/technical related experience in mechanical, composites, body work, or other dexterous activities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance within a reasonable amount of time, not required to start.
- Ability to follow written, electronic and verbal instructions and work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Read and understand blueprints
- Ability to operate various fabrication equipment, such as shear, sheet metal brake, rollers, grinders, and presses.
- DoD Secret Clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $37,400.00 - $62,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
