Aircraft Systems Mechanic for Northrop Grumman's E-2D Manufacturing and Production Organization. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing aircraft and engine systems, reading blueprints, assembling hydraulic systems, and performing maintenance. Requires attention to detail, focus on quality, and ability to work in various positions and environments. Offered at Level 2 or 3 based on experience.

What you'd actually do

  1. Troubleshoots, repairs and services aircraft and engine systems.
  2. Read and interpret blueprints.
  3. Assemble and install hydraulic systems.
  4. Conduct diagnosis of malfunctions
  5. Perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions.

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years' experience with engine/hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, and systems in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment (Level 2)
  • 4 years' experience with engine/hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, and systems in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment (Level 3)
  • Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work
  • Ability to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment
  • Ability to pass Medical/Respiratory Exam
  • Ability to work any work schedule
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret DOD clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience in working on or around operational aircraft.
  • Completion of an A&P certificate program
  • E-2D Experience
