Seeking an Algorithm Scientist to research, develop, and deploy signal processing and machine learning algorithms for health sensing features in Oura products. The role involves exploratory research, data collection studies, developing data analysis tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve biomarkers and algorithms based on wearable device data.

What you'd actually do

  1. Contribute to the research, development and deployment of signal processing and machine learning algorithms for Oura features/products based on a range of sensing modalities
  2. Support early-stage exploratory research to identify and characterize new potential sensing features and functionality, and help develop proof-of-concept features in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  3. Support the design and execution of internal and external data collection studies to develop, evaluate, benchmark, and improve new biomarkers and algorithms, and to assess the signal quality of hardware and firmware prototypes
  4. Develop and maintain reusable data analysis tools, which can be deployed at scale
  5. Document, summarize, and present data analysis and algorithm performance results with actionable recommendations to technical and cross-functional stakeholders
