Amazon Robotics - 2026 Industrial Engineer Intern/co-op, Robotics Manufacturing and Technical Operations

This is an internship/co-op role for an Industrial Engineer focused on robotics manufacturing and technical operations. The role involves managing projects, developing project schedules, managing risk registers, gathering and analyzing data for KPIs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles. The position is within Amazon Robotics, which utilizes various automation technologies including machine learning, but the core function of this role is industrial engineering and project management within a manufacturing environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage one large, or multiple smaller projects in a manufacturing environment
  2. Take on a leadership role for projects that may span various aspects of manufacturing operations
  3. Leverage and develop project management skills including Development of project schedules using MS Project, or other chart tool of choice and Managing a risk register, including identifying, assessing and mitigating risks
  4. Gather and analyze project data for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), crafting reports and dashboards, while utilizing insights to shape program priorities
  5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by planning and implementing lean projects within the company, collaborating with multiple stakeholders in the development and delivery of related content and training

Skills

Required

  • Currently working towards Bachelor’s or Masters Degree with a graduation date between December 2026 and August 2027
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Masters, or PhD program that is physically located in the United States and must have at least one semester/term/quarter of school left to complete after the end of the co-op
  • Are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Must be eligible and available for a full-time (40h / week) co-op during the 6-month co-op duration

Nice to have

  • Prior Co-op or internship experience in a professional environment
  • Familiarity with MS Project (or other equivalent Gantt chart tools)
