What you'd actually do

  1. Manufacturing process optimization projects involving data collection, cycle time studies, root-cause / problem-solving initiatives, and creation of training modules
  2. Create business process models using best practice techniques, including current and future state solution design documents using requirements gathered
  3. Gather, analyze and document functional / technical requirements for new projects, enhancements to existing solutions and production issues reported by end users
  4. Research production system issues, resolve user problems and escalate when necessary (Manufacturing Engineering Support)
  5. Conduct periodic project updates and review sessions with cross-functional team members

Skills

Required

  • Currently working towards Bachelor’s or Masters Degree with a graduation date between December 2026 and August 2027
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Masters, or PhD program that is physically located in the United States and must have at least one semester/term/quarter of school left to complete after the end of the co-op
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Eligible and available for a full-time (40h / week) co-op during the 6-month co-op duration
  • Knowledge of different process innovation methodologies and their practical application

Nice to have

  • Understanding of metrics, process capabilities, LEAN and IE techniques
  • Proficient with AutoCAD / 2D layouts
  • Enthusiasm, idealism, creativity and dedication to getting results
  • Ability to work collaboratively and without direct reporting authority; must be a team player
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with both technical and business staff
  • Excellent written, speaking and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with creating process models
