This is an internship/co-op role in Amazon Robotics focused on supply chain processes, including planning, sourcing, logistics, and systems. The role involves understanding and improving existing processes, leading automation projects, developing metrics, and supporting new product introductions within the supply chain organization. While the company utilizes AI and ML in its robotics, this specific role is centered on supply chain operations and business process improvement, not direct AI/ML model development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Developing an understanding of our Supply Chain and Systems and Tools processes and identify targets for improvement in transactional and operations efficiencies
  2. Supporting the execution of supply chain cost/lead time, safety stock, procurement, planning, warehousing/logistics, and/or new product introduction programs, including the exploration of opportunities across multiple Amazon business units
  3. Leading projects to automate our cross-functional processes between Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Deployment, and Engineering
  4. Developing processes and mechanisms related to expanding capacity and programs in our Robotics Operations Center of Excellence
  5. Developing efficient and accurate metrics and mechanisms for measuring and reporting supply chain performance. Support the introduction of new software/tools/dashboards

Skills

Required

  • Currently working towards Bachelor’s or Masters Degree with a graduation date between December 2026 and August 2027
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Masters, or PhD program that is physically located in the United States and must have at least one semester/quarter of school left to complete after the end of the co-op
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Eligible and available for a full-time (40h / week) co-op during the 6-month co-op duration

Nice to have

  • Expert in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Experience with programming such as SQL and Python and data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • 1-2 years of experience in supply chain
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of metrics, process capabilities, and LEAN techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
