Amd Epyc Dppm Debug Engineer

AMD AMD · Semiconductors · Austin, TX · Engineering

This role is for a Debug Engineer at AMD, focusing on the Server DPPM Data Center for AMD EPYC processors. The responsibilities include leading the debug team, driving improvements in testing and failure identification, and working with cross-functional teams to root-cause product issues. The role requires a strong understanding of x86 architecture, post-silicon validation, and semiconductor manufacturing processes. Experience in system-level debug, fault isolation, and scripting languages like Python is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define the technical specification of the DPPM Data Center to identify SoC manufacturing issues and logical failures.
  2. Drive the technical specification to implementation of the DPPM Data Center working with platform, silicon, debug tools, IT teams and other stakeholders
  3. Drive continuous technical improvements in the testing, failure identification and debug process.
  4. Work with debug and manufacturing teams to root-cause of key product issues, manufacturing blockers in a Datacenter Center environment.
  5. Improve debug capabilities and methodology over time by identifying common challenges or impediments to efficient debug and working with partner organizations to drive innovation in platform architecture, design, tools, and methods.
