Analog Circuit Design Engineer responsible for designing and developing analog circuits in advanced process nodes for analog and mixed-signal IPs, optimizing for power, performance, area, timing, and yield. Requires experience in PLLs, clocking circuits, LC VCO/DCO design, and CMOS fundamentals.

What you'd actually do

  1. The candidate should have experience in Analog and Mixed Signal Design with focus on PLLs and clocking circuits.
  2. Extract chip parameters, create test plans, and verify designs against microarchitecture specifications, ensuring robust functionality.
  3. Optimize circuits for power, performance, area, timing, and leakage reduction while adhering to product requirements.
  4. Collaborate with the architecture and layout teams to ensure best-in-class functionality, robustness, and electrical capabilities.
  5. Experience in LC VCO/DCO design. Good exposure to performance parameters of oscillators as well as complete PLL architecture.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor / Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong academic background in CMOS semiconductor device physics and silicon processing
  • CMOS digital, analog, and I/O circuit design
  • Transistor-level circuit simulation tools such as SPICE
  • Analog and Mixed Signal Design with focus on PLLs and clocking circuits
  • LC VCO/DCO design
  • CMOS design fundamentals
  • passive RC circuits
  • switched cap circuits

Nice to have

  • 8-12 years of experience in Circuit Design
  • 2-3 experience in LC Oscillators Inductor Design
  • Familiarity with CMOS transistor and semiconductor device layout methods
  • Custom design environments such as Cadence design automation tools (ADS, Analog Artist, or Virtuoso)
  • DRC, LVS, and post-layout extraction tools

What the JD emphasized

  • Strong fundamentals of CMOS design, passive RC circuits, switched cap circuits are a must for this role.
