Analyst/associate — Mexico & Canada Economics Research

This role supports economics teams in analyzing, forecasting, and communicating economic views using large datasets and macro models. Responsibilities include writing reports, preparing briefings, maintaining databases, and responding to client requests. Requires a BA/BS in Economics or a related quantitative field, 1-2 years of experience, and Spanish proficiency. Programming and quantitative skills are strongly preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Write regular reports on economic events and their market implications.
  2. Prepare daily briefings based on relevant economic news.
  3. Partner with Senior Analysts to produce thematic research.
  4. Create and update presentation materials for client meetings and events.
  5. Respond to questions/requests from internal stakeholders and external clients.

Skills

Required

  • BA/BS in Economics or a related quantitative field or equivalent years of experience
  • 1–2 years of relevant work experience
  • Spanish: full professional proficiency (C1+)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of econometrics
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, intense environment
  • Strong writing skills
  • Spreadsheet proficiency (MS Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to multi‑task
  • Strong collaborator and effective team player
