Analyst/associate- US Research Economics Team

This role supports a US Economics research team by analyzing and forecasting economic views, working with large datasets, running macro models, and compiling reports. It involves interaction with sales and traders, and requires initiative in responding to client requests.

What you'd actually do

  1. Write regular reports on economic events and their impact on the market
  2. Take over primary coverage of key sectors of the US economy
  3. Work with Senior Analysts to develop key themes
  4. Assist Senior Analysts in creating and updating presentation materials for client meetings and events
  5. Develop databases integral to different research products

Skills

Required

  • BA or MA in economics or a related quantitative field or equivalent years of experience
  • 1-2 years of relative work experience
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Econometrics
  • Strong writing and spreadsheet skills
  • Expert at MS Excel
  • Experience working with statistical packages and/or programming experience
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
