This role is for an Analyst in Licensing Finance within FP&A at Spotify. The primary responsibilities include evaluating and modeling licensing agreements, supporting royalties forecasting, and analyzing performance to influence the long-term economics of the music business. The role involves partnering with various teams like Licensing, Legal, Royalty Operations, Data, Product, and Finance to model complex agreements and provide data-driven insights.

What you'd actually do

  1. Evaluate and model global major label licensing agreements, partnering closely with Licensing, Accounting, and Legal teams.
  2. Build and own robust financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analyses, to assess deal economics, margin impact, and long-term trade-offs.
  3. Translate complex contract structures into clear financial implications and produce executive-ready materials for Finance and Business leadership.
  4. Support music royalties forecasting processes, incorporating the financial impacts of deal-specific terms.
  5. Analyze monthly and quarterly royalty and margin performance, identifying key variances versus forecast and explaining underlying drivers.
