This role supports Procurement activities for Research & Development spend categories, partnering with category managers and R&D stakeholders to enable effective sourcing, supplier management, and spend visibility. The role provides analytical and operational support to ensure R&D teams have timely access to innovative, compliant, and cost-effective suppliers and services. It offers exposure to early-stage innovation, technical supplier ecosystems, and regulated procurement environments.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support R&D Procurement category teams with spend analysis, reporting, and supplier insights.
  2. Assist with sourcing activities, including RFx preparation, bid analysis, supplier comparisons, and documentation.
  3. Maintain and analyze procurement data to identify cost, performance, and efficiency opportunities.
  4. Support supplier management activities, including performance tracking, issue follow‑up, and scorecard maintenance.
  5. Assist in contract administration, documentation management, and compliance with procurement policies.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, finance, operations, or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical skills with Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional, matrixed environment

Nice to have

  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Exposure to R&D, technical, or innovation-focused environments
  • Familiarity with procurement, sourcing, or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa)
  • Experience supporting RFx processes, supplier analysis, or contract documentation
  • Interest in digital tools, analytics, or AI-enabled procurement capabilities
  • Experience in regulated industries such as MedTech, healthcare, or life sciences
  • Procurement or analytics certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS)
