John Deere is seeking an Analytics Data Engineer I in Monterrey to design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, build semantic models, and develop advanced SQL queries. The role involves working with enterprise data platforms like Databricks and translating business questions into data solutions, with a preference for candidates with Python, ML, or AI workflow exposure.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business stakeholders.
  2. Build and optimize semantic models and reporting layers to ensure consistent KPI definitions and data usability.
  3. Develop advanced SQL queries to extract, join, and manipulate large enterprise datasets.
  4. Work with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Enterprise Data Lake) to process and manage large-scale datasets.
  5. Translate business questions (quality, warranty, operations, product performance) into scalable data solutions and datasets.

Skills

Required

  • Power BI development experience
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms such as Databricks / EDL
  • Experience translating business questions into usable data products
  • Ability to work with shared code, version control, and collaborative environments such as GitHub
  • Strong documentation habits
