Netflix is seeking an Analytics Engineer to support the Legal organization, focusing on metrics, analytic tools, and analyses for Legal operations. The role involves partnering with various teams to design metrics, develop analytic tools, build and evaluate models, and perform analyses. A key aspect is rethinking workflows to leverage AI and LLMs to unlock decision-making for Legal teams managing worldwide legal engagements. The role requires expertise in SQL, Python, data visualization, and hands-on experience with AI coding tools. Bonus points for experience building ML models or designing LLM/agentic workflows.

What you'd actually do

  1. Be a strategic partner for Legal Product PMs, Engineers, and Legal teams, developing and executing new measurement frameworks to assess the effectiveness and business impact of product solutions.
  2. Lead and collaborate on development of new prototypes and product offerings, often LLM-based, to help scale the pace and quality of insights surfaced to Legal team decision-makers.
  3. Establish and maintain strong partnerships with a variety of business and product stakeholders, working directly with them to introduce and influence data-informed ways of working.
  4. Present your analytical methodology and findings effectively to both technical and non-technical partners, including C-level company leadership.
  5. Collaborate with other Engineers to source data from new systems, strengthen our foundational data models, and accelerate data analysis.

Skills

Required

  • 7 years of demonstrated experience with data wrangling, data analysis, metric visualization, and data storytelling to both technical and non-technical product and business stakeholders.
  • An expert in the standard tech stack (i.e., SQL, Python) and intuitive dashboard/visualization design using common data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau, Plotly, Streamlit).
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills coupled with strong business acumen.
  • Able to operate effectively in ambiguity and evolving environments; can take ownership and work independently with limited guidance when needed.
  • Able to work primarily in Central European time zone with the ability to meet with Pacific time zone colleagues during morning/evening overlaps.
