The Analytics Engineer on the Safety Systems team will build data-centric culture and enhance decision-making through analytics. They will partner with Engineering, Research, and Data Science to develop and maintain canonical data sources and dashboards for safety metrics, enabling trustworthy insights for people and AI agents. The role owns the consumption layer for safety metrics, defining ways for stakeholders to understand product safety, answer questions, and inform product decisions and company strategy. This role is crucial for advancing the goals of safe, robust, and reliable AI.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and maintain canonical datasets that serve as sources of truth for safety metrics.
  2. Develop and refine data products such as dashboards, reports, agent-enabled workflows, and machine-readable interfaces that empower stakeholders to extract and analyze data independently.
  3. Work closely with stakeholders in Engineering, Research, and Data Science to understand their decision-making needs and design intuitive ways to consume complex safety metrics, including dashboards, reports, agentic workflows and other data products.
  4. Ensure that analytics and visualizations are both accurate and user-friendly, incorporating user experience principles.
  5. Advocate for data quality, consistency, and reliability across analytics products.
