Workday is seeking an Analytics Sr Software Engineer (US Federal) to join their Analytics Delivery Engineering team. This role focuses on building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and automated services frameworks for their Prism Analytics platform within Workday Federal deployments. Responsibilities include CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, tracing, Kubernetes platform development, infrastructure automation, and ensuring security and compliance for government contracts. The role requires strong experience in infrastructure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, with a focus on operational reliability and automation.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work on projects ranging from building out robust CI/CD to automation for both the Prism engineering team and SRE team
  2. Work on enhancements and improvements for monitoring, alerting, and tracing of not only internal services but most importantly, production services.
  3. Collaborate with others on the SRE team to help set technical direction while ensuring requirements are met.
  4. Help enhance, build, secure and maintain environments for Prism Analytics in Workday Federal deployments
  5. Interact and be the primary contact with multiple teams both internally in Workday Prism Analytics

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with infrastructure, either on-premises or cloud-based, with a deep understanding of systems architecture, networking, and security.
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts, architecture, and administration
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and tracing tools
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform)
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Argo CD)
  • Experience with security best practices for platforms
  • Experience with documentation and knowledge sharing
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams

Nice to have

  • Active TS/SCI w/CI Poly is preferred
  • Experience working on U.S. Federal Government contracts
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure
