Lyft Lyft · Consumer · Toronto, ON · SCC Tech

Android Engineer focused on building and maintaining safety features for Lyft's consumer platform, working cross-functionally with product, design, and data science to ensure user safety and identify potential abuse vectors.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build and maintain Android features that directly protect riders and drivers.
  2. Partner closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and backend engineers to translate safety concepts into polished, reliable user experiences.
  3. Critically evaluate proposed designs and product specs - identify logic gaps, edge cases, and potential abuse vectors before they reach production.
