Anthropic Fellows Program — the Anthropic Institute Fellows (economics & Policy)

Anthropic Anthropic · AI Frontier · BC +3 · Remote · AI Research & Engineering

This is a research fellowship program focused on empirical projects related to AI's economic and societal impacts, with the goal of producing public outputs like research papers. Fellows will use external infrastructure and work with mentors to explore areas such as AI's economic effects, labor markets, and AI-enabled cyber/bio capabilities.

What you'd actually do

  1. Designing and conducting empirical research on AI's economic effects, drawing on external data sources
  2. Developing new methodological approaches for studying AI's impact on labor markets, the future of work, and society
  3. Analysing the offense–defense balance for AI-enabled cyber and bio capabilities as models scale
  4. Measuring the extent to which model performance increases with custom harnesses?
  5. Identifying market driven mechanisms that could improve societal resilience to anticipated threats from AI systems?
