This role is for an APAC Payroll Specialist at Legora, an AI-native legal tech company. The specialist will coordinate with external payroll providers, ensure accurate payroll delivery, review reports, and improve payroll processes across the APAC region. The role involves process standardization, automation, and collaboration with HR and Finance, rather than direct payroll processing.

What you'd actually do

  1. Act as point of contact for external payroll providers, coordinating monthly payroll cycles and deadlines
  2. Ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery across all countries
  3. Act as backup to Global Payroll Manager in times of absence
  4. Perform payroll validations and reconciliations, and review payroll reports to identify discrepancies
  5. Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies

Skills

Required

  • Experience in multi-country payroll, preferably in an outsourced environment
  • Strong understanding of payroll controls and processes
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Comfortable working with HRIS and payroll systems

Nice to have

  • Experience with payroll vendors (e.g. BDO, Deel, Remote)
  • Experience building payroll processes from scratch
  • Exposure to audits and compliance frameworks
