This Director Researcher role focuses on building and deploying autonomous agentic AI solutions for a financial institution. The individual will architect and develop GenAI and Agentic solutions, deliver multiple collaborating agents to solve complex problems, and mentor a team of AI engineers. What you'd actually do

  1. Architects and develops GenAI and Agentic solutions to automate complex operational processes
  2. Delivers multiple agents that can collaborate to solve large, complex problems, orchestrate end to end workflows and scale across JPMC
  3. Designs and build services and libraries that AI teams want to use
  4. Mentors and inspire a team of AI engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning
  5. Ensures the scalability, reliability, and security of AI/ML solutions in a production environment, with a focus on long-term sustainability

Skills

Required

  • Research experience or have worked in one of the top commercial AI research labs, in a Director level or equivalent role
  • Deep understanding of AI fundamentals and practical experience with data analysis and experimental design
  • Proven track record of deploying AI/ML applications in a production environment at scale
  • Familiarity with distributed computing patterns for training, serving, persistence of state
  • Experience integrating user feedback to establish agentic refinement and self-improving AI applications
  • Experience in building and leading high-performing AI teams

Nice to have

  • PhD preferred but not required
  • Expertise in deploying models on AWS platforms such as SageMaker or Bedrock will be strongly considered, but not required
