Salesforce is seeking an Applied Research Engineer to bridge the gap between frontier AI technology and customer-facing reality, focusing on Generative AI and Agentic Systems for CRM. The role involves building and deploying production services, APIs, UIs, and agentic evaluators at hyper-scale, working closely with research scientists to transform breakthroughs into stable, secure, and production-ready applications.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work alongside other motivated and talented research engineers to bring cutting-edge theory into customer-facing practice.
  2. Build tools and pipelines to support ML and AI efforts.
  3. Design, build, deploy, and maintain production services, like APIs, UIs, agentic evaluators, and more.
  4. Roll out scalable cloud architectures.
  5. Help with end-user requirements gathering and executive presentations.
