Applied Scientist - Core AI Speech

Microsoft Microsoft · Big Tech · Vancouver, BC +1 · Applied Sciences

Research role focused on developing and industrializing novel speech algorithms, including integrating speech with LLMs for multimodal modeling, and applying these models to real products with continuous monitoring and evaluation.

What you'd actually do

  1. developing novel speech algorithms to advance state-of-the-art speech technologies for real world user scenarios, especially in integrating speech with LLM for multimodal modeling.
  2. Help address scalability problems by adjusting to stakeholder needs.
  3. Work with large-scale computing frameworks, data analysis systems, and modeling environments to improve models.
  4. Apply the model to real products, and then verify effects through iterations.
  5. Experiment by putting multiple models in production and evaluating their performance. Continue to monitor how algorithm performs against expected behaviors and performance or accuracy guardrails.
