Applied Scientist Ii, Aws Agentic AI

Amazon Amazon · Big Tech · Santa Clara, CA · Applied Science

Research scientist role focused on developing techniques for agent optimization and learning, including fine-tuning and context optimization, to enable AWS customers to build reliable and performant agents. The role involves defining science roadmaps, implementing and validating research ideas, and collaborating with product and engineering teams for production transfer.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop short-term and long-term science roadmap for research in the broad area of Agent optimization/learning, which could range from RL reward shaping, training efficiency optimization, to automatic prompt optimization and techniques to learn from agent memory.
  2. Develop concrete science plan, implement and validate research idea before moving it to production
  3. Collaborate across product and engineering teams to transfer science innovations into AWS customer facing product.
