Applied Scientist Ii, Last Mile

Amazon Amazon · Big Tech · IN, KA, Bengaluru · Research Science

Applied Scientist II role focused on developing and optimizing machine learning and GenAI solutions for Amazon's Last Mile delivery network. This role involves building models for business applications, improving algorithms, and optimizing system policies to enhance delivery capacity, customer experience, and operational efficiency. Requires strong research experience in ML, Computer Vision, or GenAI, with a focus on production systems and data analysis.

What you'd actually do

  1. developing solutions to better manage and optimize delivery capacity in the last mile network.
  2. identifying and analyzing opportunities to improve existing algorithms
  3. optimizing the system policies across the management of external delivery service providers and internal planning strategies.
  4. quickly approach large ambiguous problems, turn high-level business requirements into mathematical models, identify the right solution approach, and contribute to the software development for production systems.
  5. independently mine and analyze data, and be able to use any necessary programming and statistical analysis software to do so.
