Applied Scientist Ii, Secure Tool Foundations

Amazon Amazon · Big Tech · NY +1 · Machine Learning Science

This role focuses on designing and building agentic AI systems for security automation within Amazon. The scientist will reason about code, produce security intelligence, and adapt AI/ML techniques to solve security problems, ultimately contributing to the development of secure software at scale.

What you'd actually do

  1. Rapidly design, prototype and test advanced security analysis and repair techniques in a high-ambiguity environment, making use of both quantitative and business judgment.
  2. Collaborate with software engineers and security engineers to integrate successful experiments into large scale production services.
  3. Report results in a scientifically rigorous way.
  4. Interact with security engineers and related domain experts to dive deep into the types of challenges that need innovative solutions.
  5. Track relevant research in other Amazon science teams and in the broader research community.
