Applied Scientist, Wwos Tech

Amazon Amazon · Big Tech · Seattle, WA · Applied Science

This role focuses on building and deploying ML models to detect theft, fraud, and organized crime within Amazon's global supply chain and operations. The scientist will own KPIs, automate detection, analyze operational defects, contribute to strategy, and integrate ML models into applications. The role requires a PhD or Master's with significant applied research experience in ML, particularly in fraud detection and organized crime.

What you'd actually do

  1. Detect and automate theft, fraud MOs
  2. Detect organized crime rings and bad actor clusters
  3. Perform end to end evaluation of operational defects, system gaps, and scaling challenges (both system and operational).
  4. Contribute to the overall fraud management and product development strategies.
  5. Integrate ML detection models via software applications
