What you'd actually do

  1. Provide subject matter expertise for data-related technology control procedures, including (but not limited to) data retention and destruction, technical data quality, data use, and data description and authority controls
  2. Applies enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate architecture analysis and design (e.g., option evaluation, trade-offs, and documentation), validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements
  3. Support Application Owners and Information Owners in adopting and evidencing data-related technology control procedures
  4. Maintain a knowledge base for data-related technology control procedures, including best practices, standards, guidelines, and training materials
  5. Contribute to continuous improvement by incorporating feedback, incidents, and regulatory/audit themes

Skills

Required

  • Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and 2+ years of applied experience
  • Applied experience in data governance, data management, or data controls within financial services
  • Working knowledge of data risk management, data lineage, and data quality controls
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work with business and technology teams, including application owners, data architects, and information owners
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders and drive outcomes.
  • Good understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with data management and architecture frameworks such as DAMA, TOGAF
  • Experience with data management tools, technologies, and governance model
  • Understanding of controls and risk management concepts, with the ability to evaluate policies, procedures, and process flows
  • Knowledge of financial regulations such as GDPR, BCBS, PRA, and other relevant standards
  • Exposure to SDLC/change management processes
  • Experience in Financial Services, including markets, securities services, payments
