Architect Marketing Agent Engineer

Salesforce Salesforce · Enterprise · New York, NY

Salesforce is seeking an Architect Marketing Agent Engineer to build and deploy AI agents within the Marketing function. This hands-on technical role involves identifying high-value workflows, designing and building agents to automate them, connecting them to existing enterprise tools, and measuring their impact. The ideal candidate has strong software engineering experience, experience with AI-assisted workflows, and can collaborate effectively with business teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build agents that handle full workflows — drafting campaign briefs, pulling performance data, routing approvals, generating content — connected to the tools Marketing already uses: Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Slack, Google Workspace
  2. Embed with Marketing strategy and operations leads to identify the highest-value, most time-intensive repeatable workflows across the function
  3. Map each workflow end to end — every step, every handoff, every decision point — and identify where agents can take over and where humans need to stay in the loop
  4. Connect agents securely to internal systems, managing access and permissions in line with Digital Enterprise Technology, Security and Data Classification requirements
  5. Design and orchestrate complex systems where AI agents integrate seamlessly into human workflows, driving efficiency and innovation at scale.

Skills

Required

  • 9+ years of experience building software, automated workflows, or systems integrations
  • Demonstrated experience connecting enterprise tools via APIs, MCP — Salesforce, Slack, Google Workspace, or similar
  • Experience designing or building AI-assisted workflows — you have worked with agents or large language models in a production setting
  • Strong written communication
  • Experience working directly with a business team — marketing, sales, operations, or similar

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with Agentforce, Marketing Cloud, or the Salesforce platform
  • Background that spans both engineering and product or operations
  • Experience as a founding engineer, early-stage startup operator, or in a role where you had to build without much infrastructure around you
  • Salesforce certifications: Administrator, Marketing Cloud, or Agentforce Specialist
  • A demonstrated, genuine AI-first approach to engineering.
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Cursor, etc.) in development workflows
  • Advanced prompt engineering skills
