Contentful is seeking an Area Sales Director for their Mid-Market EMEA team. This role involves managing and developing a team of Account Executives, driving mid-market pipeline, supporting go-to-market initiatives, and acting as a senior stakeholder for customers. The position is quota-carrying and requires regional forecast ownership, risk mitigation, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have extensive SaaS sales experience, including leadership, and a proven track record of building and developing high-performing sales organizations. Experience selling across Europe to large businesses and closing multi-six-figure deals is essential. The role also emphasizes data-driven decision-making, strong communication, and customer relationship building.

What you'd actually do

  1. The role will assume leadership of a growing sales organization of Mid-Market Account Executives, to help drive complex deals into Mid-Market new and existing clients.
  2. Contribute to regional strategy with metrics, observations and market research
  3. Set and execute an aggressive customer acquisition strategy
  4. Create processes, set best practices and build replicable patterns for your regional go to markets initiatives
  5. Serve as senior stakeholder and point of escalation internally and in customer engagements
