What you'd actually do

  1. Lead client coverage on the regional rates markets.
  2. Analyze macroeconomic themes and technical drivers affecting Asian rate markets to formulate views and investment recommendations at both the regional and country levels.
  3. Collaborate with the Asia strategy team, economists, and colleagues in the global Emerging Markets team to formulate forecasts and views.
  4. Lead the marketing and communication of views to external clients and internal sales and trading teams via published reports, webinars, client roadshows, and conferences.
  5. Build and manage analytics and quantitative models.

Skills

Required

  • Minimum 7 years' experience covering Emerging Markets fixed income markets at a financial institution.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) discipline.
  • Familiarity with economic and financial databases such as Haver and Bloomberg.
  • Deep understanding of macroeconomics, financial economics, and fixed income markets.
  • Strong analytical skills; advanced knowledge of statistics and econometrics/data science.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to engage senior clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, and a demonstrated team player.

Nice to have

  • PhD in Finance, Economics, or a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) discipline is preferred
