Asic Design Engineer

NVIDIA NVIDIA · Semiconductors · Santa Clara, CA

This role is for an ASIC Design Engineer at NVIDIA, focusing on designing high-performance, area, and power-efficient RTL for SoC and GPU products that support AI, gaming, and autonomous driving. Responsibilities include drafting microarchitecture documents, implementing RTL, collaborating with verification teams, and assisting with silicon bring-up. Requires BS/MS in EE/CE/CS, 2+ years of RTL design experience, and strong skills in Verilog, front-end flows, and scripting languages.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drafting microarchitecture documents and implementing high-performance, and area and power-efficient RTL to meet strictly defined development targets and specifications.
  2. Analyzing architectural trade-offs based on features, performance requirements, and area/power constraints.
  3. Crafting micro-architecture, implementing them in RTL, and delivering fully verified, synthesis/timing clean builds.
  4. Collaborating closely with architects, other designers, and pre and post silicon verification teams to deliver world-class RTL builds.
  5. Working on a diverse list of IPs, including GPU's time distribution system, engine scheduler, interrupt controllers, and copy engines.
