ASIC Verification Engineer role within the Security IP Team, focusing on co-verification of embedded microprocessor subsystems and hardware accelerators. Responsibilities include firmware development for security features, hardware/firmware co-verification, defining verification architecture, and collaborating on subsystem specifications. Requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in C, C++, Verilog, System Verilog, UVM, and scripting languages.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and verify embedded firmware for SoC secure boot and microprocessor-driven hardware acceleration services, including cryptography, compression, and DMA
  2. Perform hardware/firmware co-verification using UVM System Verilog, C-DPI, and FPGA-based prototyping platforms
  3. Define and maintain subsystem verification architecture, testbenches, and methodologies for embedded CPU and IP subsystems using AXI/AHB interfaces
  4. Collaborate on subsystem specification and influence hardware and firmware co-design, including developing abstracted performance models and evaluating architecture trade-offs
  5. Develop and execute block- and subsystem-level test plans using UVM randomized and C-DPI directed methodologies
