NVIDIA is seeking an ASIC Verification Engineer to verify the design and implementation of SoCs and GPUs. The role involves defining verification scope, developing verification infrastructure, and verifying firmware code, with a focus on hardware/firmware interactions. Requires knowledge of verification methodologies, SystemVerilog, and exposure to design/verification tools. Experience with high-speed IO protocols, memory coherence, or embedded firmware debugging is a plus.

What you'd actually do

  1. As a Verification Engineer at NVIDIA, you will be responsible for verifying the design, architecture and micro-architecture using advanced verification methodologies
  2. Define the verification scope, and contribute to the development of the verification infrastructure for memory subsystem units
  3. Verify firmware code, with specific attention on verifying hardware/firmware interactions
  4. Collaborate with architects, designers, software engineers across sites to accomplish your goals

Skills

Required

  • BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Knowledgeable in verification methodology, creating reusable verification components
  • Knowledgeable in verification using random stimulus along with functional coverage and assertion-based verification methodologies
  • Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming with SystemVerilog
  • Exposure to design and verification tools (VCS or equivalent simulation tools, debug tools like Debussy, GDB), and methodologies (UVM or equivalent)

Nice to have

  • Prior verification experience related to high speed IO protocols, or memory coherence
  • Experience debugging embedded firmware code (C or RISCV Assembly)
  • Knowledgeable in embedded microcontrollers and/or RISCV Architecture
  • Experience writing verification plans
  • Strong verification mindset and intuition
