What you'd actually do

  1. Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
  2. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
  3. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
  4. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
  5. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma
  • 4 or more years experience in electronics manufacturing
  • J-Standard solder certification, or similar experience or certifications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain secret security clearance
  • US citizenship

Nice to have

  • Active Secret clearance
  • SAP clearances/experience
  • Assembling and troubleshooting RF and/or CNI systems
  • Shop floor manufacturing systems (SAP, Solumina, Tableau, etc.)
  • ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage) control
  • CUI (controlled unclassified information) and COMSEC (communications security)
  • FAR, ITAR, AS9100, and/or ISO 90001 rules and regulations
