What you'd actually do

  1. Perform rework, repairs, pickups, functional checks, and authorized changes, maintaining the required skill level for all tasks.
  2. Select appropriate parts, materials, tools, and assemblies, determining the sequence of work as necessary.
  3. Report job-related issues, such as errors in parts, materials, or assembly procedures, in accordance with shop procedures outlined by the supervisor.
  4. Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in work assignments.
  5. Execute fabrication tasks, including reaming, drilling, riveting, sanding, filing, grinding, and shaping of sheet metal parts, as well as forming, countersinking, crimping, and other necessary operations.

  • Experience working with powered hand tools
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, schematics, and diagrams
  • Working with tools and following work instructions
  • Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8-hour shift
