Boeing is seeking Assembly Advisement Workplace Coaches to support manufacturing teams by upskilling employees with technical aircraft knowledge. The role involves creating and deploying projects related to aviation testing and manufacturing, analyzing performance data, identifying improvement opportunities, and providing coaching and structured on-the-job training. The successful candidate will leverage manufacturing and assembly experience to improve processes and employee performance within the Boeing Production System.

What you'd actually do

  1. Utilizes manufacturing and assembly experience in one or more of these areas; mechanical, fluids/pneumatics, electrical integration, composites fabrication, composites assembly, machine operations for coaching, performance improvement and problem solving in support of the Boeing Production System
  2. Analyzes and interprets performance and quality data to identify and mitigate the impact of changes on the production system (e.g. CMES, CORRS, PAS, EPES, TMC)
  3. Conducts assessments of processes and practices, analyzes and interprets data for improvement opportunities
  4. Provides feedback on assessment results and identifies opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk
  5. Analyzes processes and supports Boeing Production System problem solving, develops and document innovative solutions in support of area Q.C.D.S.M. goals

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of experience with Structures Assembly, Mechanical Assembly, Electrical Assembly, and/or Final Assembly
  • Ability to work a variable shift

Nice to have

  • 10+ years’ experience with aircraft assembly processes, performing hands-on installation and/or assembly is desired.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Functional Testing, Flight Line operations, Avionics, and troubleshooting
  • Commercial derivative or military aircraft maintenance experience
  • Experience and proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, specifications and templates
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Manufacturing experience in one or more of these areas: Mechanical, Fluids/Pneumatics’, Electrical Integration, Quality Inspection, Function Test, Flight line Experience
