Assembly Mechanic-Quality Inspector for the F15 Quality Team at Boeing Defense, Space & Security. Responsibilities include assembling precision parts, operating machinery, installing components, and performing quality checks on aircraft and spacecraft structures and systems. Requires security clearance and experience with sheet metal assembly and manufacturing environments.

What you'd actually do

  1. Assemble precision assemblies, set up and operate ream fixtures to drill, ream, countersink, spot face, hone and bore for mating major assemblies.
  2. Setup and operate shot peen equipment and accessories for stress relieving assemblies as required.
  3. Install press fit bushings and force fit bushings. File, fit, hone, ream, drill, tap, saw, burr and adjust
  4. Assemble a variety of production aircraft and spacecraft parts and install aircraft equipment, support equipment or power plant equipment.
  5. Install, operationally check out, adjust, rig and pressure check systems.

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years of Assembly Experience or relevant military assembly experience
  • 1+ years of experience with sheet metal assemblies, drilling, countersinking, riveting, and fastener installation
  • 1+years of experience in manufacturing or manufacturing support environment

Nice to have

  • Quality Inspector experience
  • Currently hold or have held a security clearance in the past 24 months
